Terms of Service
These terms cover everything we do for you: rebuilding your existing website, hosting it, and maintaining it month-to-month. We've kept the language plain. If anything here is unclear, email hello@sitelyncs.com and we'll explain.
01 Who we are
SiteLyncs (referred to as "SiteLyncs," "we," "our," or "us") is a small business based in Alberta, Canada. We provide website rebuild, hosting, and maintenance services to local businesses. By signing up for a plan, you ("you," "the client") agree to these terms.
02 What we provide
Your plan includes:
- A rebuild of your existing website on modern infrastructure (Cloudflare + Astro).
- Hosting, SSL certificates, CDN delivery, and DDoS protection.
- An annual allowance of edits to your live site (1, 3, or 5 depending on tier).
- Ongoing security updates and uptime monitoring.
- Access to your client portal for status, billing, and change requests.
03 Subscription term
Plans start with a 12-month minimum term. This lets us recover the cost of the initial rebuild and provide your monthly hosting and support at a flat rate.
After your first 12 months, your plan automatically continues month-to-month. You can cancel at any time on or after month 13 with 30 days' written notice to hello@sitelyncs.com.
04 Payment & billing
You pay a one-time setup fee when your rebuild begins, and a recurring subscription fee (monthly or annually) for hosting and ongoing service.
- Monthly plans are billed in advance each month.
- Annual plans are billed in advance once per year and include a discount equivalent to two free months.
- Late payments past 14 days may result in your site being paused until payment is current.
- All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise.
05 Scope of the rebuild
The page count included in your initial rebuild depends on your plan:
- Starter - up to 5 pages
- Pro - up to 8 pages
- Premium - up to 12 pages
If your existing site has more pages than the cap for your tier, additional pages can be added at $99 per page as a one-time bolt-on, quoted at checkout or before work begins.
06 Site edits
Each plan includes a number of edits per year (1, 3, or 5 depending on tier). An edit is one round of changes - swapping a photo, updating hours, adjusting some text - handled within a few business days of your request.
Your edit allowance resets every 12 months from the start of your plan. Unused edits do not roll over. Additional edits beyond your annual allowance are available on demand at $49 per edit.
Large changes - adding new pages, rebuilding sections, or adding new features - are quoted separately and are not counted as edits.
07 Your content
You own your content. Any text, photos, logos, videos, or other materials you provide for your site remain your property. You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to use anything you give us.
By providing content, you grant SiteLyncs a non-exclusive licence to use, host, and display that content as needed to deliver the service.
08 Our work
Templates, code, design systems, and infrastructure created or used by SiteLyncs remain our intellectual property. Your subscription gives you a licence to use them for as long as your plan is active.
When your subscription ends, you may export a static (HTML/CSS) copy of your live site - see section 10.
09 Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Host illegal content, malware, or anything that violates Canadian law.
- Send unsolicited bulk email or run phishing campaigns.
- Resell hosting, sublease the site, or grant access to third parties without our permission.
We may suspend service without notice if we believe these rules are being broken.
10 Cancellation & site export
You can cancel at any time after your initial 12-month term with 30 days' written notice to hello@sitelyncs.com.
You can take your site with you. On cancellation, we'll deliver a static HTML and CSS export of your live site that you can host anywhere - on your own server, a hosting provider of your choice, or any static host (such as Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages, or Cloudflare Pages directly).
The export contains your pages, images, and styles exactly as they appeared on your last day with us. Dynamic features that depend on our infrastructure (contact form submissions, analytics dashboard, edit portal) won't transfer over.
Refunds are not issued for the initial setup fee. If you cancel mid-term during the first 12 months, the remaining months of the term are payable in full unless we mutually agree otherwise in writing.
11 Availability & limitation of liability
We target 99.99% uptime through Cloudflare's global network, but no service is perfect. SiteLyncs is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid SiteLyncs in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost business).
12 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll let you know by email at least 30 days before changes take effect. If you don't agree to the changes, you can cancel before they apply.
13 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Alberta.
